Development Education Centres (DECs)


Lancashire Global Education Centre is a DEC. DECs are independent local centres that raise the profile of global issues and encourage positive local action for global change.

Each DEC defines its own area of work in response to local needs and enquiries. Most work with schools, teachers and local authorities to enrich the curriculum. Many also work with youth and community groups, volunteers, universities and adult learners. Many DECs offer services such as training and workshops, resource libraries, support / advice and teaching ideas.
